Gridded Dots Pattern

Take something classically casual like a polka dot pattern and put it on a grid and you get the perfect blend of girly and modern.  (AKA, the Gridded Dots pattern.)

This patterns uses the Modified Single Crochet stitch, not a regular SC. Click here to see how it’s done. (It’s easy, I promise!)gridded-dots-pattern

Hello there, I'm Rebecca! I love creating beautiful things from nothing, which is why I love crocheting. I especially love the tapestry method.. but as I've been picking it up, I've noticed that it's completely underrated! I made this site to spread the word about the greatness of tapestry crochet. I hope that my passion becomes yours and that you create something beautiful today 🙂

Hi, I have been crocheting for over 40 years but I have only just discovered this technique. Your site is wonderful – everything is explained so well and all the projects are beautifully executed. I look forward to having a go myself – soon — very soon!

Hi Rebecca. Thanks for your detailed and clear instructions. I appreciate it.
As regarding the gridded dot pattern above – I think it would be hard to carry over the dark yarn under the light yarn without it peeking out. What do you think of the idea of adding the black once the work is done? I think I could use either a blunt or a crochet needle. Do you think it could be done? for the time being I think I will stick to a two-color pattern
